Interactive rural radio
Details
People who have access to consistent, accurate information and opportunities for learning can sometimes take them for granted. Many rural citizens lack this access. Rural residents who speak with and listen to subject matter specialists on subjects that are important to them are much better able to make informed decisions and take action.
Interactive radio is a proven way to reach rural people but broadcasters can't do this alone. They need to collaborate with key partners to ensure that they can broadcast the most important and accurate content. This is where you come in.
Throughout this module, you'll learn about what interactive radio can do, who needs to be involved to create it and how it can help different kinds of stakeholders to achieve their goals. It will take approximately 20 to 30 minutes to complete the lessons.
